Aaron Acevedo, Possessing with Intent to Distribute Heroin and Cocaine, New York 2020
Aaron Acevedo, a 27-year-old man from Syracuse, New York, has pleaded guilty to possessing with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine.
According to the guilty plea, in June 2020, Acevedo possessed more than 40 grams of heroin and more than 120 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Syracuse Police Department, the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Investigators from the Onondaga County District Attorney's Office, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the New York State Police, and the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department.
Acevedo faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison, a fine of up to $2,000,000, and a term of supervised release of at least six years and up to life when he is sentenced on August 4, 2021, in Syracuse, New York.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicolas Commandeur and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Adrian LaRochelle are prosecuting the case.
Acting United States Attorney Antoinette T. Bacon commended the agencies involved in the investigation for their hard work and dedication to bringing Acevedo to justice.
