Aaron Robinson Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking and Discharging a Firearm

Aaron Robinson, a 28-year-old man from Newport News, Virginia, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for his role in a heroin, cocaine base, and cocaine trafficking conspiracy in the Hampton Roads area from September 2017 to March 2018.

According to court documents, Robinson participated in the conspiracy alongside his co-defendant Rodrick Greene, 31. The two men were arrested in March 2018, during a cocaine transaction, and Greene was found in possession of a firearm used in furtherance of the cocaine sale.

Robinson's sentencing comes after his co-defendant, Rodrick Greene, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to over seven years in prison on July 1 for his role in the drug trafficking conspiracy and possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime. Through PSN, law enforcement agencies and community-based organizations work together to identify and address the root causes of violent crime.

U.S. Attorney G. Zachary Terwilliger and Jesse R. Fong, Special Agent in Charge for the Drug Enforcement Administration Washington Field Division, made the announcement after sentencing by U.S. District Judge Robert G. Doumar. Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert E. Bradenham prosecuted the case.
