Aaron Taylor Lemire, 29, Sentenced for Child Sex Abuse Material in Florida
Aaron Taylor Lemire, 29, of Lady Lake, Florida, has been sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for possession of child sex abuse material. This sentence is in addition to 10 years of supervised release, according to a recent press release from the United States Attorney's Office.
The sentencing took place on February 6, 2024, in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Senior United States District Judge Gregory A. Presnell handed down the sentence.
According to court documents, Lemire was found to be in possession of more than 100 files of child sex abuse material, depicting the abuse of children as young as six years old. This discovery was made after an undercover detective received images from Lemire and agents executed a search warrant on his residence.
The investigation into Lemire's activities was conducted by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Belkis H. Crockett.
Lemire entered a guilty plea on February 6, 2024. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
