On May 18, 2023, Danny Lee Jimenez, a 38-year-old resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced for being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentencing was carried out by U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson. Jimenez was sentenced to 15 months in prison, with three years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment. The crime was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Elmore.
Paul King

Argel Sierra
Argel Sierra, a 39-year-old resident of San Antonio, Texas, was sentenced on May 16 for felony deprivation of civil rights. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl presided over the sentencing. Sierra was sentenced to five years of probation and was fined $750, in addition to a $100 special assessment. Judge Skavdahl also ordered Sierra to pay restitution amounting to $1,646.10. Sierra had served as a police officer with the Mills (Wyo.) Police Department in 2019, and court records revealed that he unlawfully arrested a man without probable cause and used excessive force during the arrest. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation, and First Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Heimann handled the prosecution.
