Adam Webster, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Georgia 2020

SAVANNAH, GA - Adam Webster, a 38-year-old felon from Pembroke, Georgia, has pleaded guilty to possessing a stolen firearm, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Georgia.

Webster's guilty plea to the charge of Possession of a Stolen Firearm subjects him to a statutory penalty of up to 10 years in prison, along with substantial fines and three years of supervised release following completion of any prison term.

The investigation into the April 2020 burglary of Cleve's Gun Shop in Ellabell, Georgia, led to the recovery of four stolen firearms, including one found at Webster's residence on June 18, 2020.

Webster was on parole at the time of the search and is now facing the consequences of his actions. The other defendants linked to the burglary have also pleaded guilty to related charges, including Johnny Cason, who awaits sentencing for Conspiracy; Michael Ernest Warnell, who faces up to 10 years in prison for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; Colby Ray Southerland, who faces up to 10 years in prison for Possession of a Firearm by an Unlawful User of Controlled Substances; and Brandon Beasley, who faces up to five years in prison for Possession of a Firearm with an Altered and Obliterated Serial Number.

The investigation was a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the Georgia Department of Community Supervision (DCS), and the Bryan County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service.
