Alexander Carrasquillo-Rosado, Cocaine Distribution, New York 2022
A Syracuse man has pleaded guilty to possessing and intending to distribute six kilograms of cocaine.
Alexander Carrasquillo-Rosado, age 31, of Syracuse, New York, pled guilty to the crime on August 17, 2022.
As part of his plea, Carrasquillo-Rosado admitted that, on November 17, 2021, he possessed with intent to distribute six kilograms of cocaine found in his car and his house on that day.
The defendant faces a term of imprisonment of at least ten years and up to life, a post-incarceration term of supervised release of between five years and life, and a maximum fine of $10,000,000.
This case is being investigated by the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division (IRS-CI), and the Syracuse Police Department. Investigative assistance was provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), United States Border Patrol, and the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael D. Gadarian.
The Syracuse man’s sentence will be imposed by a judge based on the statute the defendant is charged with violating, the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines, and other factors.
