Allambergen Kudaybergenov, Making Threats, New York 2020
A Brooklyn man has been arrested for making threats of violence based on race, the FBI and NYPD announced. Allambergen Kudaybergenov, 30, was charged with making interstate threats, using false immigration documents, and aggravated identity theft.
According to the allegations in the Complaint unsealed in Manhattan federal court, Kudaybergenov used false identity documents to get a job at a restaurant in Manhattan in April 2019. He then sent a series of threatening messages to his former employer, including one that read, "jew [sic] waiting for war."
Kudaybergenov continued to send threatening messages after he was fired from the restaurant, including one that referenced two employees and said, "I wanna another holocaust killing 60 million jews like [Victim4]."
The FBI-NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force investigated the case and Kudaybergenov was arrested and presented in Manhattan federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave. He was detained.
"The arrest of Allambergen Kudaybergenov makes clear that we will not tolerate threats of violence, especially those directed at individuals based on their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs," said U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman.
Kudaybergenov is charged with one count of making interstate threats, one count of using false immigration documents, and one count of aggravated identity theft. He is currently being held in detention.
