Allan Enrique Gomez Villeda, Illegal Re-Entry of a Deported Alien, Louisiana 2024

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - A Honduran national has been found guilty of re-entering the United States after being deported. Allan Enrique Gomez Villeda, age 41, pleaded guilty on April 30, 2024 to illegal re-entry of a deported alien, in violation of Title 8, United States Code, Sections 1326(a).

According to court documents, Gomez Villeda admitted to reentering the United States illegally after being previously deported on May 9, 2019. This illegal re-entry is a serious crime that carries severe penalties.

Gomez Villeda faces a sentence of up to 2 years imprisonment, up to 1 year of supervised release, up to a $100,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment fee.

The court has set June 18, 2024 as the date for sentencing.

U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans commended the work of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations in investigating this matter. Assistant United States Attorney Paul J. Hubbell of the General Crimes Unit is leading the prosecution.
