Amber Doller-Smith, Fentanyl and Tramadol Possession, Pennsylvania 2023

A Lower Burrell woman has been sentenced to spend the next five years behind bars for her role in the possession of a deadly fentanyl and tramadol mixture. Amber Doller-Smith, 46.53 grams of the illicit substance, was found in her possession during a traffic stop on September 13, 2018. Police officers from Lower Burrell and New Kensington conducted the traffic stop, which led to the discovery of the fentanyl and tramadol mixture.

According to the investigation, Doller-Smith was in possession of numerous pills and her bankcard in the purse on the front seat of the vehicle. When questioned by the officers, Doller-Smith revealed that she had heroin concealed on her person. Laboratory analysis later confirmed that the substance was a mixture of fentanyl and tramadol.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Lower Burrell Police Department, and the New Kensington Police Department all commended for their efforts in bringing this case to a successful conclusion. United States Attorney Scott W. Brady praised the collaborative efforts of the agencies involved in the investigation.

In addition to her prison sentence, Doller-Smith has also been ordered to serve four years of supervised release following her time in prison. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michael Leo Ivory on behalf of the government.
