A 35-year-old Emmetsburg woman has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm in federal court in Sioux City.

The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities.
Sentencing before United States District Court Chief Judge Leonard T. Strand will be set after a presentence report is prepared. Lee remains in custody of the United States Marshal pending sentencing.
Lee faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years' imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and not more than three years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
