Andres G. Angel-Martinez, Unlawfully Returning to United States, Missouri 2025

Kansas City, MO - Andres G. Angel-Martinez, a 25-year-old Mexican national, has pleaded guilty in federal court to unlawfully returning to the United States after removal.

According to court documents, Angel-Martinez was taken into custody on April 15, 2025, for an immigration law violation at the Cass County, Missouri Jail.

Angel-Martinez pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Greg Kays to one count of unlawfully returning to the United States after removal.

He faces up to two years in federal prison and a maximum fine of $250,000. U.S. District Judge Greg Kays will impose sentencing on a date to be determined.

Angel-Martinez has been and will remain in custody pending his sentencing hearing.

The case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that aims to repel the invasion of illegal immigration and protect communities from violent crime.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Rudolph R. Rhodes IV is prosecuting the case, which was investigated by Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations.
