Andrew Ford, Sex Trafficking, New York 2025
Grimy Times has learned that Andrew Ford, a 42-year-old resident of Stamford, Connecticut, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child and transportation of a child for unlawful sexual activity in federal court in White Plains, New York.
The charges stem from allegations that Ford, who was 42 at the time of the alleged crimes, had sexual contact with a 13-year-old child in both Westchester County, New York, and Greenwich, Connecticut, and had taken photographs of the abuse.
According to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Jay Clayton, Ford sexually abused the child and documented the abuse with photographs, causing additional harm to the already vulnerable victim.
'Sexual predators should know this: In 2025 and 2026, our Office has brought federal charges against an unprecedented volume of individuals for the sexual exploitation of children and child pornography,' said U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton. 'If you prey on children in New York, you will be identified, arrested, and prosecuted. New Yorkers want you in prison.'
Ford was arrested on May 12, 2025, and was initially charged in the Justice Court of the Town of Rye, New York, with two counts of rape in the second degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Rye Court on May 13, 2025, and released on bail.
Following Ford's arrest, a search of his cellphone revealed the existence of sexually explicit images of the 13-year-old victim that were taken in Connecticut after he transported her from Westchester County to Greenwich, Connecticut.
The minimum and maximum potential sentences in this case are 15 years in prison and 30 years in prison, respectively, for the charge of sexual exploitation of a child, and 10 years in prison and life in prison, respectively, for the charge of transportation of a child for unlawful sexual activity.
Ford is currently being held without bail pending a detention hearing in federal court. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
Grimy Times has learned that the FBI, the Port Chester Police Department, the Greenwich Police Department, and the Westchester District Attorney's Office were involved in the investigation and prosecution of this case.
The prosecution is being handled by the Office's White Plains Division. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Marcia S. Cohen and Ioannis D. Drivas are in charge of the prosecution.
