Andrew Vallone, Receipt of Child Pornography, New York 2023
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Tonawanda man is going to prison for his role in a disturbing child pornography case. Andrew Vallone, 47, of Tonawanda, NY, was sentenced to serve 96 months in prison by U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr.
According to U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross, Vallone was convicted of receipt of child pornography. This is a serious crime that has devastating consequences for the victims.
The investigation into Vallone's activities began after an individual contacted the Town of Tonawanda Police Department about a video they had discovered on a desktop computer belonging to Vallone. The video depicted a child, referred to as the Victim, wearing only a pair of underwear. On January 23, 2021, the Tonawanda Police contacted the FBI and further investigation determined that Vallone had secretly filmed the Victim using a hidden camera.
Forensic analysis of electronic devices seized from Vallone's residence revealed numerous images and videos of child pornography. The MicroSD card recovered from the hidden camera contained numerous images that depicted the Victim in various states of undress.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia, and the Tonawanda Police Department, under the direction of James P. Stauffiger.
Vallone's actions are a stark reminder of the importance of reporting suspicious activity to the authorities. If you have any information about a similar case, please contact the Tonawanda Police Department.
