Angel Miguel Jorge-Jimenez Accused of Reentering US After Deportation
A 26-year-old man from Philadelphia has been charged with reentering the United States after being deported.
Angel Miguel Jorge-Jimenez, a native and citizen of the Dominican Republic, was found in the US on October 18, 2016, after having been deported on May 21, 2013.
Jorge-Jimenez, 26, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged today by Indictment with illegal reentry after deportation, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger.
The indictment alleges that Jorge-Jimenez, an alien, was found in the United States after having been deported from the United States on or about May 21, 2013.
According to the indictment, if convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of twenty years.
The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations ('ERO'), and is being prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Josh A. Davison.
