Angel Robles, Armed Bank Robbery, Massachusetts 2021
BOSTON — Angel Robles, a 37-year-old Boston man, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for his role in a string of violent crimes, including the armed robbery of a bank in Concord, Massachusetts.
On November 9, 2020, Robles entered a Citizen's Bank in Concord, handed a teller a note that read, 'ROBBERY, ONLY READY TO DIE ON A DEATH WISH,' and stole approximately $358 before fleeing the bank.
But that wasn't Robles' only crime. He also admitted to committing three additional robberies, including the armed robbery of a Metro PCS in Lynn on August 3, 2020, where he stole $4,000 from a safe and brandished a gun against the clerk's back.
Robles also robbed a clothing store in the Northgate Shopping Plaza in Revere with another individual on October 17, 2020, stealing five North Face jackets valued at $1,500. When a clerk attempted to stop him, Robles threatened to shoot.
Additionally, Robles robbed a Citizen's Bank inside a Stop & Shop in Lynn on October 28, 2020, stealing $5,000 and brandishing what appeared to be a handgun in surveillance video.
Angel Robles, 37, was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young to seven years in prison and three years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $10,833.
The case was part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make neighborhoods safer.
Robles pleaded guilty to one count of armed bank robbery on October 4, 2021.
U.S. Attorney Rachael S. Rollins and Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division, announced the sentencing.
