Angel Robles, Bank Robbery, Massachusetts 2020

BOSTON – Angel Robles, 36, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts, was indicted by a grand jury in Boston on November 9, 2020, in connection with robbing a Citizen’s Bank in Concord.

According to the indictment, on November 9, 2020, Robles entered the Citizen’s Bank in Concord, handed a teller a note that read “ROBBERY, ONLY READY TO DIE ON A DEATH WISH,” and stole approximately $358 before leaving the bank.

The charge of bank robbery provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Angel Robles was originally charged by criminal complaint in November 2020. Assistant U.S. Attorney Evan Gotlob of U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling’s Major Crimes Unit is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. The U.S. Attorney’s Office reinvigorated PSN in 2017 as part of the renewed focus on targeting violent criminals.

The details contained in the charging document are allegations. Robles is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

Robles is a resident of Hyde Park, Massachusetts. The Citizen’s Bank in Concord was the victim of the robbery. The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
