Anthony Charles Howe, Failing to Disclose Email Address and Violating Supervised Release, New York 2024

Syndicated pedophile Anthony Charles Howe, Sr., age 60, of Oswego County, New York, was sentenced to 21 months in prison for his role in failing to disclose his email address to the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services, a requirement under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

According to the United States Attorney's office, Howe, a convicted child pornography distributor, was also found guilty of violating the terms of his supervised release. This includes committing new criminal conduct, failing to truthfully answer questions from his probation officer, and possessing an undisclosed internet-capable device.

Howe's imprisonment term consists of 15 months for failing to register the email account as required under SORNA, and a consecutive imprisonment term of 6 months for the supervised release violation. United States District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby handed down the sentence.

The United States Marshals Service led the investigation, and Assistant United States Attorney Michael D. Gadarian prosecuted the case as part of Project Safe Childhood. This initiative aims to eliminate the internet exploitation of children and rescue victims.

Project Safe Childhood has been a joint effort by federal, state, and local authorities since its inception in May 2006. It has successfully located, apprehended, and prosecuted numerous individuals who exploit children via the internet.

Howe, a sex offender, must serve 15 years of supervised release following his prison term. This is a stern warning to those who fail to comply with the conditions of their supervised release.
