Ariel Acevedo, a 36-year-old Springfield man, was sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in a heroin conspiracy.
According to court documents, on Feb. 18 and 19, 2012, Acevedo arranged for the sale of approximately 150 grams of heroin to another individual. The transaction was consensually monitored and recorded by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
During the conversations, Acevedo discussed the quantities, pricing, and quality of the heroin.
