Belinda Miltenberger, Wire Fraud, Louisiana 2018
A shocking case of corporate theft has left the small town of Cameron, Louisiana reeling. Belinda Miltenberger, 47, a former office manager of a seafood processing and wholesale company, pleaded guilty to stealing more than $91,000 from her employer.
According to the guilty plea's factual basis, Miltenberger stole cash from seafood sales between January 2016 and February 2017. Instead of depositing the cash into the company's bank account, she kept the money for personal use and falsified business records to cover her abuse.

Miltenberger's scheme was uncovered, and she faces severe consequences for her actions. The former office manager pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud on June 13, 2018, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Kathleen Kay.
Under the terms of her guilty plea, Miltenberger faces up to 20 years in prison, five years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. The court set sentencing for October 1, 2018.
The FBI conducted the investigation into Miltenberger's activities, and Supervisory Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard A. Willis is prosecuting the case.
