Bo Aaron Divorne, Methamphetamine Distribution, Washington 2019

Spokane, Washington - A 30-year-old Colville man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine in the Inland Northwest.

According to a press release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington, Bo Aaron Divorne pleaded guilty on June 13, 2019, to distributing 5 grams or more of methamphetamine.

Chief United States District Judge Thomas O. Rice sentenced Divorne to a 5-year term of imprisonment, to be followed by a 4-year term of court supervision after he is released from federal prison.

The investigation into Divorne's activities began when the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) started looking into suspected trafficking in firearms and controlled substances.

During the investigation, ATF conducted a controlled purchase of over 26 grams of methamphetamine from Divorne.

U.S. Attorney William D. Hyslop commended the ATF and other law enforcement agencies for their efforts in investigating drug trafficking crimes.

'The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington is committed to prosecuting aggressively and seeking appropriate punishment for drug traffickers distributing controlled substances in our communities,' Hyslop said.

This case was prosecuted under the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) program, a federal, state, and local law enforcement collaboration to identify, investigate, and prosecute individuals responsible for violent crimes in our neighborhoods.

Divorne's case was investigated by the Spokane Resident Office of the ATF and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Patrick J. Cashman.
