Bobby Askew, Fentanyl Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2023

Bobby Askew, 39, was handed a 27-month prison sentence for distributing fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine in Butler, Pennsylvania. The city's residents will breathe a sigh of relief now that this notorious dealer has been held accountable.

Askew's crimes occurred between 2017 and 2020, with the worst of it happening within 1,000 feet of multiple schools in Butler. His trafficking network was well-established, with connections to a Butler-based crew.

Askew's history of crime is long, dating back to a 2009 conviction for crack cocaine trafficking in Philadelphia. He was sentenced to 5 to 10 years in state prison, but managed to get paroled and relocate to Butler. It didn't take long for him to fall back into old habits.

The investigation into Askew's crimes was a collaborative effort between the Pennsylvania State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Butler County District Attorney's Drug Task Force. Their hard work paid off, resulting in Askew's conviction and sentencing.
