Brandon Dunn, Drug Trafficking, Louisiana 2026
A New Orleans man has been sentenced to over a decade in prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking operation and possession of a machinegun. Brandon Dunn, age 20, was sentenced on July 8, 2026 by U.S. District Judge Greg G. Guidry to 11.5 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, along with a $300 mandatory special assessment fee.
The charges against Dunn stem from his guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(D), and 846, as well as possession of a machinegun, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 922(o).
The investigation into Dunn's activities was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the New Orleans Police Department.
