Brandon Scott Glisson, Bribery, Maryland 2024

Published January 14, 2025

A Maryland man has pleaded guilty to bribery charges in connection with a multimillion-dollar government contract scheme.

Brandon Scott Glisson, a government contractor, pleaded guilty to one count of bribery on November 7, 2024, in the District of Maryland.

According to court documents, Glisson paid approximately $630,000 in bribes to Lawrence A. Eady, a federal government official, from August 2019 to October 2020. Eady used his position to ensure the U.S. government purchased IT products from one of their co-conspirators' companies at artificially inflated, non-competitive prices.

In exchange for the bribe payments, Eady diverted the inflated portion of the payments to Glisson's company, Alpha Greatness Omega (AGO), which Glisson used for personal luxury purchases and to pay Eady bribes.

Glisson faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison for his role in the scheme.

The investigation into the government contract scheme is ongoing, with other defendants expected to be charged in the coming months.

In a separate case, Lawrence A. Eady, the federal government official, pleaded guilty to one count of bribery on November 13, 2024. Eady also faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison for his role in the scheme.

The case highlights the importance of ensuring that government contracts are awarded fairly and transparently, without the influence of bribery or other forms of corruption.
