Brandon Tolman, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Maine 2021
A 32-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced for his role in a massive methamphetamine trafficking operation that spanned from Florida to northern Maine.
Brandon Tolman, 32, was sentenced to time served, which equates to 25 months, and three years of supervised release in federal court in Bangor, Maine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Lance E. Walker.
Tolman pleaded guilty in February 2021 to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. According to court records, Tolman was part of a drug distribution operation based out of Florida that operated in northern Maine between May 2018 and July 2018.
The operation involved large quantities of methamphetamine being transported from Florida to Maine, where it was sold in various locations, including Lincoln, Bangor, Howland, and Houlton. Tolman was one of several members of the conspiracy who sold the drug in the Lincoln area.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated the case, which ultimately led to Tolman's guilty plea and subsequent sentencing.
As part of his sentence, Tolman will be subject to three years of supervised release, which will be monitored by federal authorities.
The sentencing of Tolman brings an end to a significant drug trafficking operation in northern Maine, and highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the illegal drug trade.
