Brandy May, Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin, West Virginia 2017
A Berkeley County woman has been sentenced for her role in a heroin distribution operation that took place in early 2017.
Brandy May, 36, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was sentenced to three years probation for her part in the heroin distribution operation, announced United States Attorney Bill Powell.
May pled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin in October 2017. She admitted to conspiring with others to distribute heroin in Berkeley County in February and March 2017.
In making the announcement, United States Attorney Powell commended the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, for their work in investigating the case.
The task force's efforts led to the identification and prosecution of those involved in the heroin distribution operation.
Special Assistant U.S. Attorney C. Lydia Lehman, also with the Berkeley County Prosecutor's Office, prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
Chief U.S. District Judge Gina M. Groh presided over the case.
According to the charges, May was involved in a heroin distribution operation that took place in Berkeley County in February and March 2017.
The outcome of the case is three years probation for May, who pled guilty to Conspiracy to Distribute Heroin in October 2017.
