Brian Norman, Methamphetamine Possession with Intent to Distribute, Nebraska 2023
A Lincoln man has been sentenced to 210 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution operation.
According to the U.S. Attorney's office, Brian Norman, 52, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
On January 4, 2022, an individual working with law enforcement purchased cocaine from Norman.
Following the sale, investigators contacted Norman in the front passenger seat of a car parked in a Lincoln business parking lot.
Investigators found cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA tablets, hydrocodone tablets, and suspected LSD in a bag located at Norman's feet.
They also located numerous baggies, a digital scale, and other drug paraphernalia consistent with drug distribution.
Further investigation revealed that Norman had 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine in two bags in his coat pockets, as well as $816 in cash.
The methamphetamine was sent to the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab, where a forensic scientist found it to be 99% pure, resulting in at least 630 grams of pure methamphetamine.
Norman was sentenced by Senior United States District Court Judge John M. Gerrard on April 28, 2023, to 210 months' imprisonment, followed by seven years of supervised release.
