Brianne Dean, Cocaine and Crack Cocaine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2017
A Bridgeville woman has admitted to her role in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine in Pittsburgh's West End, federal authorities announced today.
Brianne Dean, 31, pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine before Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
According to the guilty plea, Dean and her co-conspirators distributed 28 grams or more of crack cocaine and 500 grams or more of powder cocaine in and around the Greenway Projects, a notorious area in the West End of Pittsburgh, from November 2017 through June 2018.
The guilty plea was entered as part of a wiretap investigation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration, which revealed the extent of Dean's involvement in the conspiracy.
Dean faces a possible sentence of not less than 5 years and up to life in prison, a fine of $5,000,000, or both.
Pending sentencing, Dean's bond has been continued.
Assistant United States Attorneys Tonya Sulia Goodman and Yvonne M. Saadi are prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
The investigation also involved the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, Pennsylvania State Police, Robinson Township Police Department, Stowe Township Police Department, Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office, Wilkinsburg Borough Police Department, and the McKees Rocks Police Department.
