GREENVILLE, S.C. - Union woman Britney Sheppard Campbell, 36, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for creating child sex abuse materials.

Campbell was arrested and charged with production of child sex abuse materials, an offense that carries a federal prison sentence of up to 20 years. The court also ruled that Campbell must serve a lifetime of court-ordered supervision upon her release.

The crime occurred between January 2014 and 2016, at the request of Campbell's boyfriend, who is now deceased. During this time, Campbell agreed to create child sex abuse materials and performed sexual acts on an infant, filmed the acts, and provided the images to her boyfriend. She also agreed to perform and record sex acts with an Alzheimer's patient for whom she provided care.

The investigation into Campbell's crimes was led by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, the United States Secret Service, and the Department of Homeland Security. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Watkins is prosecuting the case.
