Broderrick Ramon Coggeshell, Involuntary Manslaughter, Arizona 2024

Broderrick Ramon Coggeshell, 38, of Chinle, Arizona, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

According to court documents, on December 2022, Coggeshell crossed the center line of traffic while driving under the influence and collided with a vehicle occupied by three brothers, killing one and seriously injuring another. Coggeshell, who also hails from the Navajo Nation, pleaded guilty to the charges on January 30, 2024. U.S. District Judge Michael T. Liburdi handed down the sentence, which includes three years of supervised release following Coggeshell's prison term.
