Bourne Man Charged with Child Pornography Offenses

A Bourne man has been indicted on child pornography charges after a forensic examination of his phone revealed images and videos depicting child pornography.

Bryan C. Mileikis, 33, of Bourne, Massachusetts, was indicted on one count of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography on June 11, 2019, by a federal grand jury. He was arrested on July 1, 2020, and charged by criminal complaint.

The charges against Mileikis provide for a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in prison, a mandatory minimum of five years and up to life of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000. The charge of receipt of child pornography carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in prison, while the charge of possession of child pornography carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.

The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts's Major Crimes Unit, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Suzanne Sullivan Jacobus leading the case. The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from exploitation and abuse.

Mileikis' indictment comes as part of a larger effort to combat child pornography and other forms of child exploitation. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts and other law enforcement agencies are working together to identify and prosecute individuals who engage in these crimes.
