Bryan Tate Dollar, Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine, Montana 2023

Bryan Tate Dollar, a 37-year-old man from Haslet, Texas, has been sentenced to 84 months in prison for his role in distributing methamphetamine in Montana. The sentencing comes after Dollar pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in November of last year.

According to officials, Dollar began bringing methamphetamine from Las Vegas, Nevada to the Billings and Missoula areas in March of 2016 and continued this activity until December of 2016. During his arrest, law enforcement recovered more than 250 grams of pure methamphetamine and a firearm from Dollar.

The case against Dollar was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara Elliott and investigated by the FBI’s Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force. The sentencing is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods program, a Department of Justice initiative aimed at reducing violent crime in Montana.

Project Safe Neighborhoods is a reinvigorated program that has proven successful in reducing violent crime. The program focuses on partnering with federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement to identify those responsible for significant violent crime in Montana.

Bryan Tate Dollar, 37, of Haslet, Texas was sentenced to 84 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. United States District Judge Dana L. Christensen handed down the sentence.

Beginning in March of 2016 and continuing through December of 2016, Dollar brought methamphetamine from Las Vegas, Nevada and distributed it in the Billings and Missoula areas. Upon arrest for this activity, members of law enforcement recovered more than 250 grams of pure methamphetamine and a firearm from Dollar.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara Elliott and investigated by the FBI’s Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force.
