Gulfport Man Sentenced to Over 11 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Conspiracy
A Tennessee man was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in federal prison for his role in a large-scale methamphetamine conspiracy in Mississippi.
Bryant Williams, 40, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Gulfport on October 17, 2023, for his involvement in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute over 27 grams of methamphetamine.
According to court records, an investigation into a large-scale drug trafficking organization began in 2015 in Picayune, MS. In 2018, Williams and two others were identified as part of the conspiracy.
On October 24, 2018, Williams and two of his co-conspirators sold 27.9 grams of actual methamphetamine at 99% purity to an individual in Picayune.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Erica Rose prosecuted the case.
The case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which uses a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach to disrupt and dismantle large-scale drug trafficking organizations.
