Bryson McBride, Cocaine and Gun Possession, New York 2019

A Rochester man has been sentenced to serve 46 months in prison for his role in a cocaine and gun trafficking operation.

Bryson McBride, 22, was convicted of possessing with intent to distribute cocaine and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles Moynihan, on May 16, 2019, McBride possessed a quantity of cocaine, which was packaged for distribution, as well as quantities of fentanyl and acetyl fentanyl.

In addition, McBride possessed a 9mm semiautomatic pistol with an obliterated serial number.

The matter was brought by the United States Attorney’s Office as part of its Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative.

Project Safe Neighborhoods is the centerpiece of the government’s violent crime reduction efforts and has been proven to be effective at reducing violent crime.

The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Rochester Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
