CLEVELAND – Christopher M. Callaway, 41, of West Farmington, Ohio, has been sentenced to 50 years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Patricia A. Gaughan for his heinous exploitation of children. Callaway pleaded guilty in March to six counts of sexually exploiting children, receipt and distribution of minors engaged in sexually explicit content, and possession of child pornography, also known as CSAM.
According to court documents, the 41-year-old groomed victims from 2015 to 2022, targeting vulnerable girls aged 10 to 17. His modus operandi included reaching out through social media platforms like KIK, Snapchat, and Facebook, especially in ‘daddy-daughter’ online groups.
Callaway’s manipulation tactics were chilling; he won the trust of his victims by professing love, sending gifts like food, clothing, money, and gift cards. Once established trust, he coerced them into sending nude images or videos of sexual acts. He also sent explicit items for their use, facilitating the production of pornography to be distributed online.
Investigators uncovered over 40 minors exploited by Callaway, with 21 identified in the case. Most victims were from outside Ohio, with one from New Zealand. The defendant traveled across states and internationally to abuse children and record his crimes.
In a shocking seizure during his residence search, federal agents found over 20,000 images and videos of CSAM on Callaway’s electronic devices. His case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer J. King for the Northern District of Ohio, as part of Project Safe Childhood—a national effort to combat child sexual exploitation online.
