Calvin Eugene Williams, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Florida 2024
Panama City, FL - A Panama City man has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine on two separate occasions.
According to federal court documents, Calvin Eugene Williams, 35, was indicted for possessing with the intent to distribute fentanyl and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on April 19, 2024, and for possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine on March 11, 2025.
Williams appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Martin A. Fitzpatrick yesterday for his arraignment at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida.
Williams was indicted for the following charges: possessing with the intent to distribute fentanyl and 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and possessing with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine.
If convicted, Williams faces up to life imprisonment.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Florida Highway Patrol, and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James A. McCain.
An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
