Camerino Perez Perez, Possession of a Firearm by an Illegal Alien, Florida 2025

Gainesville, FL - In a case that highlights the ongoing battle against illegal immigration and violent crime, Camerino Perez Perez, a/k/a 'Squirrel', 41, of Levy County, FL, has been charged with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by an illegal alien.

According to a federal indictment, Perez is scheduled to appear in federal court on July 1, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in Gainesville, Florida, for his arraignment before United States Magistrate Judge Midori Lowry.

If convicted, Perez faces up to fifteen years' imprisonment. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case, with Assistant United States Attorney Adam Hapner prosecuting.

An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt.
