Candio Tierra Blanca-Quesada, Illegal Reentry of a Removed Alien, Louisiana 2026

New Orleans, Louisiana - Candio Tierra Blanca-Quesada, age 39, a native of Mexico, pleaded guilty on April 2, 2026, to illegal reentry of a removed alien, in violation of Title 8, United States Code, Section 1326(a),

announced U.S. Attorney David I. Courcelle. His sentencing is set before U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon on July 9, 2026.

According to court documents, Tierra Blanca-Quesada was found in the Eastern District of Louisiana on December 29, 2025, having reentered the United States without authorization from the U.S. Attorney General after being previously removed on October 28, 2012.

Tierra Blanca-Quesada faces up to two years of imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000, up to one year of supervised release, and a mandatory special assessment fee of $100.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.

U.S. Attorney Courcelle praised the work of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in investigating this case. Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Kippers of the General Crimes Unit is in charge of the prosecution.
