Allen Man Indicted for Failing to Register as Sex Offender

A 31-year-old man from Allen, South Dakota, has been indicted on charges of failing to register as a sex offender. Charles Tallman, also known as Charles Lee Longman, was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 20, 2015.

The indictment alleges that Tallman failed to register and update his registration as a convicted sex offender between February 24, 2014, and October 20, 2015. The maximum penalty upon conviction is up to 10 years in custody and/or a $250,000 fine, a lifetime of supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
