Charles Tom Davisson, II, Child Pornography, West Virginia 2016
A Parkersburg man is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal child pornography charge. Charles Tom Davisson, II, 55, entered his guilty plea in federal court to the child pornography crime.
The investigation revealed that Davisson was using peer-to-peer file sharing programs to download, receive, and distribute child pornography. He admitted to possessing images and videos of prepubescent minors engaged in sexual acts, which were contained on his personal computer, as well as thumb drives located at his residence in Parkersburg.
The West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Wood County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston is in charge of the prosecution.
According to the investigation, Davisson was in possession of over 600 images and videos of child pornography on January 22, 2015. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 19, 2016, in Charleston.
This case is being brought as part of an ongoing initiative by the United States Attorney’s Office to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse in the Southern District of West Virginia.
