West Virginia Woman Pleads Guilty to Methamphetamine Distribution Charge

Chelsey Farley, a 26-year-old woman from Philippi, West Virginia, has admitted to a methamphetamine distribution charge, announced United States Attorney Bill Powell.

According to court documents, Farley pled guilty to one count of 'Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.'

The crime occurred in November 2016 in Barbour County. Farley admitted to possessing crystal methamphetamine, also known as 'Ice.'

Farley faces up to 20 years incarceration and a fine of $250,000 under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Under the guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Mountain Region Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi presided over the case.
