A 47-year-old Omaha man has been sentenced to 151 months in prison for his involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking operation. Clint Huss, 47, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on June 27, 2024, in federal court in Omaha.

According to the United States Attorney Susan Lehr, Huss was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The methamphetamine, weighing approximately 236 grams (0.52 pounds), was discovered during a traffic stop on May 17, 2022. Huss, who was driving his vehicle at the time, consented to a search and told detectives that there would be drugs in the vehicle.

After a search of the vehicle, detectives found the methamphetamine in a fanny pack on the front passenger seat. The discovery was made by Omaha police narcotics detectives who had established surveillance at an Omaha motel prior to the traffic stop.

Huss's sentence includes 151 months in prison, with no parole available in the federal system. Following his release from prison, he will be required to serve a 5-year term of supervised release.
