Clinton Shane Strable, Methamphetamine Distribution, Oklahoma 2026
MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – A Stigler man, Clinton Shane Strable, 36, has been sentenced to 168 months' imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release for his involvement in a methamphetamine distribution ring.
The charges against Strable were brought by the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. He was found guilty of Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A).
The case against Strable arose from an investigation by the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Haskell County Sheriff's Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On September 18, 2018, Strable allegedly possessed with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance.
Strable was also found guilty of Felon In Possession Of Firearm And Ammunition, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1), 924(a)(2). This charge was brought against him after he was convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester expressed his appreciation for the strong working relationships between law enforcement agencies in the Eastern District. He noted that federal prosecution is not always the best option, but in cases like Strable's, it is a valuable tool in protecting the public.
The Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing. Assistant United States Attorney Clay Compton represented the United States.
