Three Sentenced for Methamphetamine Offenses in West Virginia

ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA – A federal court has handed down sentences to three individuals for their involvement in methamphetamine sales in various West Virginia counties.

Cody Ray Robinson, 32, of Belington, West Virginia, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for selling methamphetamine in Barbour County. This conviction marks the second time Robinson has been convicted for drug trafficking and petit larceny.

Emily Ann Swecker, 34, of Coalton, West Virginia, received a 110-month prison sentence for selling methamphetamine in Randolph County. Swecker has prior convictions for drug offenses, making her a repeat offender.

William Charles Wilson, also known as 'BJ Wilson,' 40, of Franklin, West Virginia, was sentenced to 51 months in prison for selling methamphetamine in Pendleton County. Wilson's prior convictions include domestic battery, assault, and drug offenses.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner on behalf of the government.

The investigation was led by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, in conjunction with the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, the West Virginia State Police, and the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the sentencing hearings.

The defendants' involvement in methamphetamine sales has put a strain on local communities, highlighting the need for continued efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
