Colin McLean, Child Pornography Production, Florida 2023
A horrific crime has shaken the community in Hollywood, Florida, as Colin McLean, a 29-year-old resident, was sentenced to 55 years in federal prison for producing and possessing child pornography.
According to court records, McLean sexually abused an infant and a 7-year-old child between January 2018 and January 2019. He recorded the abuse by taking photos and videos, which he saved on his cell phone.
Law enforcement recovered images and videos of other child pornography on McLean's cell phone, in addition to those involving the infant and 7-year-old child.
McLean previously pled guilty to an indictment which charged him with two counts of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
The FBI Miami's Child Exploitation Task Force investigated this case in partnership with the Hollywood Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jodi L. Anton prosecuted the case.
U.S. Attorney Ariana Fajardo Orshan, Special Agent in Charge George L. Piro of the FBI's Miami Field Office, and Chief Chris O'Brien of the Hollywood Police Department made the announcement.
