Wheeling Man Sentenced for Meth Distribution

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – Damend Lavel Pollard, a 49-year-old man from Wheeling, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 15 months of incarceration for his role in a drug distribution operation in the Wheeling area.

Pollard, also known as 'Skills,' was found guilty of distributing methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a protected location on March 2019. He sold methamphetamine near Luau Manor in Ohio County in that month.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Ohio Valley Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the crime.
