Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Gun Possession in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Cedar Rapids, IA - In a tragic case of gun violence, a four-year-old boy was shot and killed by an unintentional discharge, leading to the sentencing of the gun's owner, Daniel Henriksen, to federal prison.
On February 21, 2018, Daniel Henriksen was sentenced to federal prison for illegally possessing a gun that was used in an unintentional shooting when a four-year-old boy shot himself in the head and died in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Henriksen, a resident of Cedar Rapids, was the fourth defendant sentenced for a federal firearm offense involving a gun that was used in an unintentional shooting in the Northern District of Iowa since August 2016.
