According to officials, Lane robbed and attempted to rob multiple stores and businesses in the South Bend area in May 2021. Her actions also involved the use and brandishing of a firearm during one of the robberies.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in conjunction with the South Bend Police Department, the Mishawaka Police Department, and the St. Joseph County Police Department. Assistant United States Attorneys Joel Gabrielse and Jerome W. McKeever prosecuted the case.
