Danny Lee Maupin, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Kentucky 2023
A 39-year-old Louisville man has been sentenced to federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm.
Danny Lee Maupin was found in possession of a firearm on September 21, 2021, when he was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Western Kentucky Regional Task Force pursuant to a Jefferson Circuit Court warrant for his failure to appear for charges of complicity to attempted arson in the second degree.
Court documents state that Maupin was sentenced to 2 years in prison, followed by a 3-year term of supervised release, for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The case was investigated by the USMS, the ATF, and the LMPD, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Mac Shannon prosecuting the case.

Shawn Morrow of the ATF Louisville Field Division, and Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel of the Louisville Metro Police Department made the announcement.
