Danny Wayne Holmes, 62, Sentenced to 15 Years and 8 Months for Methamphetamine Conspiracy

Orlando, Florida - U.S. District Judge Wendy W. Berger has sentenced Danny Wayne Holmes to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Holmes was part of a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine from a distribution hub in Crescent City, through his associate's home in Seville, to points throughout central Florida. Holmes served as a conduit for methamphetamine from Crescent City to street-level dealers.

Additionally, Holmes obstructed justice by absconding while on pretrial release in this case.

Eleven others previously pleaded guilty and have been sentenced for their roles in this case.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Dana E. Hill.

This case was part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation. OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.
