Gulfport Man Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Possession

An Ocean Springs man was sentenced to 211 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute 1,231 grams of methamphetamine. Dante Ladon Evans, 48, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Gulfport, Mississippi.

According to court documents, Evans was on supervised release when a probation officer went to his residence and discovered narcotics. Further investigation revealed that Evans was in possession of 1,231 grams of methamphetamine.
